G-Shock
Kikuo Ibe is a Casio engineer who created the first shock-resistant watch of the company in 1983. For the first time, a watch could be exposed to impact and vibrations without suffering harm.
G-Shock became very popular in the 1990s, spreading its fame outside of Japan. The timepieces became equipped with various functionalities, which made them excellent for athletes, adventurers and military personnel.
Today, G-Shock watches feature atomic timekeeping, solar power generation, resistance to dust and cold. Basic models are updated two times each year to guarantee G-Shock’s contemporary look.
G-Shock developed a number of collections to meet the need of all individuals. Such watches have been specialized for use by extreme sports lovers, active ladies, fashion-aware individuals and environmentally-conscious customers.
Baby-G was created as a separate line. The fun colors make these watches suitable for teens and active young individuals. These watches are smaller and finer than the traditional heavy-set G-Shock timepiece.
